NSB Donates to VT Foodbank

Northfield Savings Bank presents Vermont Foodbank with a check for $3,000.

Northfield Savings Bank (NSB) was pleased to donate $3,000 to the Vermont Foodbank as the beneficiary of NSB’s 40th Annual Footrace.

The Vermont Foodbank is the state’s largest hunger relief organization, providing nutritious food and promoting health through a network of 215 food shelves, meal sites, senior centers and after-school programs, and directly to families, children, older adults and individuals at schools and hospitals throughout the state.

The 2018 NSB Footrace - which has kicked off the Town of Northfield’s Labor Day festivities since 1978 – took place on September 1 and drew a crowd of more than 100 runners and walkers. The day began with the Adult 5K, which winds through Northfield’s downtown, and was followed by the Kids’ 1-Mile for children 5 – 13 years of age.

Northfield Savings Bank is proud to support the Foodbank in its important work to feed Vermonters in need.
