It may still be winter outside, but for Tim Kavanagh, thoughts of sailing the open waters of Lake Champlain are on his mind. Tim and his family, including his partner and cancer caregiver Candy Weston, had an opportunity to sail with Healing Winds Vermont last summer. The mission of the program is to create lasting memories for individuals with cancer, and their loved ones, through a therapeutic experience of sailing. Sailing excursions are refreshing, relaxing and  spirit-lifting.

As part of our Community Giving Program, NSB made a donation to Healing Winds Vermont to support their worthwhile program.

During 2017, the Bank continued our practice of paying a community dividend by donating over $300,000 to Vermont non-profit organizations. In addition, NSB supports many other community activities by sponsoring events, such as the South Burlington Art Hop and Thunder Road racing.
