You can use an ATM Card to access your NSB checking or savings account - you can link up to 10 accounts from your ATM Card, and you can use it all over Vermont (and all over the U.S.). You can use your ATM Card at any machine with these logos: NYCE®, Cirrus®, Maestro®, and the Falcon Network (machines found throughout Vermont). Even minors can use an ATM Card with parental permission. Tracking your spending is easy. Your ATM withdrawals will show up on your monthly statement. You can also track your activity online when you use eNSB, our online banking service. What does it cost? NSB does not charge for any ATM withdrawals made from its own ATM machines, or from within the Falcon Network of statewide ATMs. However, NSB will charge a fee when you use any other ATM. And if the owner of the ATM you use also charges a fee, it will be disclosed on the machine. Please refer to the NSB Service Fee Schedule. Or you can apply for an ATM/Debit Card! If you have an NSB checking account, you can use our NSB MasterMoney™ Debit Card - it's an ATM Card and a Debit Card in one. Get an ATM/ Debit Card Agreement form, visit your local branch, or contact Customer Service to request one. You will receive a monthly statement showing account activity. Make your deposits automatically and qualify for free Direct Access Checking! Have your paycheck or Social Security check deposited directly to your NSB checking or savings account (or to both if your employer allows) - it's convenient, it's simple, and it's easy to sign up with your employer or the Social Security Administration. And, you'll qualify for our free Direct Access Checking account! Ask your employer if direct deposit is available. Many local employers offer direct deposit, and it saves companies time and money. The Social Security Administration (SSA) strongly recommends direct deposit - read all about it at the SSA web site. We can even provide you with the SSA form! What accounts qualify? You can direct deposit into any NSB checking or savings account. And, with direct deposit, NSB's Access Checking is FREE! What are the details? Money is automatically deposited into the account(s) you designate. You still receive a pay stub or receipt for your records, and you can verify the deposit using the NSB PhoneBank or eNSB. What does it cost? It's FREE! And it's easy. Just ask your employer, or check with an NSB customer service representative for more details the next time you visit your branch. You can also call us at 802-485-5871 (1-800-NSB-CASH) or e-mail us. Your savings will earn compounded daily interest! Hate bounced checks? Get Overdraft Protection! Bouncing a check, or incurring a service fee because your balance drops too low can happen to anyone. But it doesn't have to happen to you! If you link your checking account to an NSB savings account, you can have money swept automatically to protect against these charges. What accounts qualify? You can link any NSB checking account to a regular Savings, Passport Club Savings or Money Market Savings account. As long as it's a statement account, it can be linked. You can even protect two accounts against overdraft charges - just designate a secondary checking account on your form. However, you can only set up minimum balance protection for your primary checking account. What are the details? Money is drawn in $100 increments, automatically, to prevent an overdraft fee (overdraft protection) or service charge (minimum balance protection) from being incurred. The number of automatic preauthorized and telephone transfer withdrawals from your savings account to another NSB account or to a third party is limited to six per month, with no more than three by draft debit card or similar order to third parties. And it's easy. Click here to download an Overdraft Protection Form. A fee of $3.00 will be charged for each automatic transfer of funds performed by this service.
